  1. Hello Pam! Great review on ADC Pediatric stethoscope. What I love most about the product is the no-chill retaining diaphragm feature, as this makes it not to feel cold on a patient’s skin, those cold feeling can really be irritating. The AFD mechanism is also great as it gives one the flexibility of use.  The pros certainly outweigh the cons except for not being durable, however, I believe that if properly handled, it can still last longer.

  2. What a great idea.  How often do you take your children to the pediatrician when they are so scared of what might happen?  I think every pediatrician should invest in this product.  It is cute and fun and would certainly put a child at ease versus having the doctor come at them with a scary, cold and unfriendly looking instrument.  Maybe the pediatrician could have more than one and let the anxious child pick which one they should use for their appointment.  Great article!

  3. Pam these pediatric stethoscope  are good  to the kids , bearing I have no medical back ground  my main reason for liking them is their look kids don’t like doctors that much nor do they love their equipment but if you put a face of bunny on the head of stethoscope  the child will be curious on why is doctor using bunny on them before they done with curiosity the doctors will be done with their check up.

    • Hi Charles,

That is very true. Kids love it because it looks like a toy. That’s why most nurse use this stethoscope. I got complemented on my stethoscope when I had one.  Thank you for your comments and have a great day!

      Regards

  4. Wow! I work in Emerg as a Physician Assistant and have about 30% pediatric patients. It’s funny because it’s always a struggle for the babies/toddlers to let you put the stethoscope on them to listen. I didn’t even know these products existed! What an excellent approach to patient care.

  5. I am a doctor myself and have used this stethoscope, it’s fun and very good. Kids love to be examined when I use these, when i used to use other simple steths, kids always cry but this steth makes them laugh always. Such a great product to have at hospitals and health clinics.

    • Hi Sarah,

Absolutely true. Kids react very pleasantly to the stethoscope because it looks like a toy.Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate it. Have a great day!

  6. Hi Pam,

Its really amazing they even think to make these kinds of pediatric stethoscopes for the kids. I have no doubt it is intended to make the hospital visit for children less frightening and more fun 🙂 . I decided to look this up quickly because I recently saw a Nurse walking around in the local hospital with one and was wondering what they were about. Thanks Pam, sounds obvious now that I have read your article on Pediatric Stethoscopes in this review.

  7. My son is going to college for nursing. I think this is a GREAT gift idea for him! I think then he can practice with his own personal one. I am sure down the road they might have him get a particular brand/type, but for now this is great. Thanks for the great review!
